As the UX Lead Designer at Liberty Latin America, my role is to shape the user experience for the Self care Applications across a diverse range of telecommunications and entertainment services offered to millions of customers in over 20 countries across Latin America and the Caribbean. LLA, renowned for its consumer brands Flow, Liberty, Más Móvil, BTC, and Cabletica, is at the forefront of the telecommunications industry, providing cutting-edge solutions to both residential and business customers.

Here the design operations are different form the common linear path, we have a CX department in charge of all research, nevertheless I keep having the opportunity of doing benchmarks, usability tests, user flows, information architecture, wireframes, wire flows and prototypes, my main responsibility is to ensure that our customers have an exceptional experience while interacting with our products and services. This involves understanding the unique needs and preferences of our diverse customer base and translating those insights into intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces. Here are some of the key tasks that I and my team undertake:

  1. User Interface Design: Crafting user interfaces that prioritize simplicity, clarity, and ease of use. This involves creating wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to iterate and refine the design until we achieve an optimal user experience.
  2. Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams: Working closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to align the design vision with business goals and technical feasibility. Collaboration is the key to delivering seamless and cohesive experiences.
  3. Accessibility and Inclusivity: Ensuring that our designs are accessible to all users, including those with disabilities, by adhering to international accessibility standards and best practices.
  4. Usability Testing: Conducting usability tests to gather feedback and validate our designs with real users. This iterative process helps us identify and address potential usability issues before the product launch.
  5. Continuous Improvement: Staying up-to-date with the latest design trends, industry standards, and emerging technologies to continuously enhance the user experience.
